The background of living in the Maryland, Virginia, New Mexico and now North Carolina, has given me a well rounded knowledge of the real estate market in different geographical areas. PERSONAL BACKGROUND: I was born in Baltimore, MD and grew up in the rural community of Mt. Airy, MD. Married my husband Paul, relocated to Reston, VA, near the Washington DC area and helped support my husbands business, Larkin Engineering Inc. Then relocated to NM where I first became a Realtor, back to MD again obtained my Real Estate license, and permanently relocated to NC.

My employment background has included: A Deputy Clerk of Circuit Court, programming in various codes, Systems Analysis, office manager, Administrative Clinical Coordinator and for quite a while, Realtor!

FAMILY LIFE: I have a total of 4 children. Two step daughters, Heather, a Pediatrician in the Baltimore, MD area and Kristy a biologist working in Frederick, MD, a son Michael who is full time National Guard and a daughter Kimberly who is attending Duke, in their Physician Assistant program. I am also grandmother to Matthew 15, Emily 12, Madeline 10, Taylor 8, Zach 7 and Kaitlyn 6.

WHY NORTH CAROLINA? As you can see, I have lived (and visited) several states, but find North Carolina the place we decided to permanently call home! I believe you too will come to love it here. We have beautiful lakes, usually nice weather and gorgeous sandy beaches! We are also surrounded by kind, friendly and caring people! Whether it is the people, weather, views, or the casualness of our life style, I believe you will also quickly come to love and appreciate our place in the sun!

We bought our house long distance and had to depend on the internet, which can be very scary. Diane and her team were very accommodating to our needs and went above board in checking on things about the house, we didn’t even have to ask, she and her team were very proactive about our needs. Diane worried about everything going smoothly with settlement and went about getting extra paperwork for all the what ifs that could happen. She also would call and remind us to about utilities and such so everything would be connected when we moved in.
